"As a native English speaker, the opportunity to be able to teach something I am passionate about in my own language is wonderful." Emma Eyre, bildlärare
At IESS Junior Club our focus is on ‘learning through doing’. We aim to support our students in understanding the world around them, learning social rules and conventions and developing respect and responsibility. Through fun and stimulating activities we encourage our students to work together as a team and to be good friends.
Junior Club is an after school club for year 4 and 5 students. Our students come down to Junior Club after lessons are finished, enjoy a healthy snack and then have the chance to take part in our exciting activities. Activities are always changing as we adapt to our students but popular activities include: iPad missions, sports, such as innebandy, football, dodgeball, cricket and dance, arts and crafts, woodcraft and many more. Every activity has a pedagogic element and for us it is important that our students learn at least one new skill while having fun and playing games.
Safety is always our highest priority and the usual IESS school rules apply. We treat each other and our school with respect which serves as the foundation of everything we do.
Junior Club is open between 14:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday and only during school terms.
Welcome to Junior Club! We hope to have all year 4 and 5 students join and take part in our daily adventures.
