SPRING SHOW

The Great Debate is coming to a close.

On Friday of last week we had our student finals for the Great Debate. 9A Students: Hannah Doherty, Muna Yusuf &  Veronika Povare   Vs 8A Students: Lourdes Malinao,  Nils Thun Olsson, &  Oscar Sundlöf. The Topic of the finals were "Life in prison should be life". The debate was excellent! Both Parties fought a good fight, but in the end 8A took away the trophy as the student winners of the GREAR DEBATE. Read more

Art Auction Raises Thousands For Charity

Eurovision Trophy Goes to Internationella Engelska Skolan Gävle

Spanish Night

This Thursday Ms Diaz headed the spanish teachers in organizing a spanish night for years 7 & 8's. When I asked her what made you want to organize this she said "It’s important for our students to experience culture so why no make an event to celebrate it? This is the second time we have arranged a Spanish Evening for our students. We cook, eat dinner and have activities related to the Spanish and South American culture. It was a great success! Lunch Gigs

This week some of our Grade 4 students really wowed us with their talents as they played a lunch time gig with Ms Odmark & Mr Thompson. The Hallways were packed with students, as these students from 4c  provided us all with a taste of what is to come during the upcoming talent show taking place in May.                   Read more

SCIENCE FAIR

This was another very busy week at the Engelska Skolan. Starting with the  SCIENCE FAIR which was held this past wednesday.Students have been working hard for the past four months to create projects that would impress the judges . WORLD BOOK DAY

 

Several classes have written book recommendations during their Swedish lessons in conjunction with World Book Day.Many of the students have also illustrated their texts. They have created appealing book recommendations that their friends have read with great interest. Now we are working on a short promotional video where boys and girls from both lower and higher grades may present their book recommendations.

The task is part of the school´s increased focus on reading.

 

Friskis

Next school year pupils in grade 9 will be offered introduction and training in Friskis and Svettis' attractive facilities through a partnership with Friskis. The idea is to make it a student option where students enroll for one semester. Students will get the introduction to the health club to help plan their workouts. More information will be made available closer to the start of this project.

TED ELT is an organization in Turkey which aims is to establish modern educational institutions with an emphasis on foreign language teaching. Read more
